Brake Caliper Paint

The brake calipers on my Porsche Boxster were looking pretty bad. I don’t know if it was due to some type of cleaner I used on them or what, but they looked gray and faded and generally not up to snuff.

After doing some research, I decided on using some G2 Caliper Paint to spruce them up.

Here is a link to all of the pictures of the paintjob.

How did the decals hold up after running the car a couple times (when the calipers had a chance to heat up and cool down)?? I heard some of the decals melt away.

Hey Todd – sorry I missed your comment. Not too many folks actually leave comments!

What I can tell you is that since painting the calipers, I have not seen any problems with the decals. I have not really run the car hard (like on the track) but daily driving (maybe 200 miles so far, its still winter time here) has resulted in no problems.

We’ll see how things look after the dog-days of summer and heavy driving.
